Legal Insider Confers Indic Pacific as the "Legal Research & AI Policy Firm of the Year - India 2026"

We are delighted to share that Indic Pacific, an AI Governance Lab has been conferred with its Second Award for the year 2026 as a Legal Research Firm in AI Governance, this time via Legal Insider.
We are delighted to be honoured to be awarded as the "Legal Research & AI Policy Firm of the Year - India 2026".
We can disclose that we were nominated for this Award by the Legal Insider Team.
This is the Second Award our Research Firm was conferred after the "Best AI Governance & Technology Law Consultancy 2026 - India" Award by APAC Insider in mid-2026.

When we founded Indic Pacific, our vision was to build a robust, adaptive framework for AI governance in India. We wanted to create spaces where complex tech policy could be translated into actionable, responsible strategies. Today, that vision is alive because of you.
For us, the true measure of success isn't found in trophies, but in the tangible impact of the ecosystem we are building together:
A thriving, collective knowledge base: 430 live contributions and chapters on our India-specific research database, IndoPacific.App, driven by the brilliance and dedication of over 200 registered authors.
Democratizing AI Policy: Bridging the gap between law and technology through our 151-term AI Strategy & Governance Dictionary, and our dedicated verticals - LegalTechPolicy.com, AIACT.IN, and AiARB.IN.
Empowering Innovators: Fostering 9 strategic partnerships to provide grounded, ethical support to the tech startups and institutions at the forefront of India’s AI revolution.
We do this work because we care deeply about the safe, equitable, and innovative future of AI in India.
Market Engagement & Capacity Building
The firm conducted 30 to 40+ engagements across India between January 2025 and August 2026.
Engagements were distributed across Southern (30%), Central/North-Central (20%), Northern (20%), Western (18%), and Eastern India (4%), along with National/Global forums (8%).
Institutional outreach heavily targeted Law Faculties & University Departments (36.7%) and Economic & Regulatory Policy Institutes (22.4%).
Market feedback indicated that stakeholders are fatigued by generalist "AI ethics" commentary, and they actively resist the blind integration of unadapted foreign frameworks like the EU GDPR.
In response to market noise, Indic Pacific maintains a stance of uncompromising domain specialization, explicitly rejects the publication of low-value content "slop," and avoids performative corporate events.
Grounded Advisory Interventions
Indic Pacific focuses on evaluating code pipelines, edge hardware constraints, and contractual risk rather than theoretical ethics.
The firm advised Vision AI startup Bipolar Factory on data protection and edge video processing controls for commercial engagements with Reliance Industries.
Indic Pacific partnered with People+AI to transform regulatory discoverability on the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) portal by replacing static keyword searches with semantic Knowledge Graphs.
